The C15 is actually the only Brooks saddle I've ever tried.
Other leather saddles I've used:
Ideale 80 - came on my SLT. It now lives on my Motobecane and is comfortable enough to ride for 2-3 hours in civilian clothes. Very very creaky though!
Velo Orange Model 6 - Brooks Swift copy, never got used to it
Velo Orange Model 3 - B17 copy, quite comfy but also very heavy and plays a heavy hand aesthetically
Selle Anatomica X - will evet again an exercise in extreme optimism. I put it on before a 200k. It stopped working for me at around 100k I believe
. Also very distinctive aesthetically, and not to my liking at all

And it’s actually incredibly irritating I can’t do one. I have a 75 mile gravel ride with 6700 climbing or something like that it n May and can’t do a century for another 3 weeks

Oof - that's going to be a tough ride even if you can get some more training under your belt.

I prefer it that way. The other potential route I built had about 6k with more frontloaded climbing including a 950 foot climb at mile 20. I don’t know if I could build a century in this area that had less than 4000 feet unless it was mostly MUP

Im looking forward to hitting some climbs. The short one I used for eFTP I think I took 40 seconds of my PR last time I tried it.

More than halfway through my ride on Sunday, I hit what would be a great hill for setting a new eFTP. I toyed with the idea of burying myself for a 3 min effort, but quickly snapped back to reality and just went with an FTPish effort instead. Shortly thereafter, I turned west and was blasted with headwinds all the way home, so I'd say that I made the right decision.

Hey, it hurts just as much; we just do it faster than we would otherwise, which still feels pig-butt slow in my case.
