I know a couple of guys who have received tickets from the state parks department that patrols our lake. In the days when I would do that off the transom, I always figured I would see them before they could see what I was doing due to the relative difference in size. These days we just all use the head since weight is not an issue.

I can still see the time during the U.S. pro road race championship when I saw a rider at the back pull down in his shorts, turn sideways and relieve himself to the shock of many spectators lining the route.

Some of these guys are good and, lord knows, conventional medicine does precious little for chronic backs, but watch out for the wackos of which there are many. Neurologists clean up the messes that bad chiropractors leave and I have seen a few cases of deadly illness treated by chiropractors for months or years, stringing patients and families along until things went mortally south, one in a teenager with a malignant tumor growing in his spine. There are also neck maneuvers which should be entirely off limits because they can injure arteries which supply the brain and cause strokes and death. Some chiropractors are still in denial about this. I don't think I'd let a chiropractor touch a family member above the shoulders.
Then there's all the made-up, pseudoscientific, nonsense, but that's pretty harmless except to the credit card balance.
Responsible chiropractors refer anything unusual to physicians and don't do dangerous moves.

I used to go to one, first time there he wanted to refer me out because of irregularities (looked like soap bubbles on an x-ray) near my left SI joint.
Testing ultimately determined it was a benign process, but still scary. Biggest concern wasn’t cancer so much as ankylosing spondylitis since I have the gene and it shared a similar appearance on x-ray

I came within a wisker of trouble last year after our Thursday night ride. I change under a beach towel . Takes 2 seconds. Some woman from the otherwise of the parking lot figured out what I was doing and made a huge scene about "the children". Threatened to call the cops. One of the original Karen's. She acted like I was skipping around nude using my junk like a lasso. It was way over the top.

My mothers been going to the chiropracters for over 50 years. She's no better, or no worse. I dont see the point. I have used them in the past. I've had better results from physical therapy.

A couple months back, I REALLY HAD TO PEE early in a ride, so I pulled off the road, went back up a path that leads to a locked gate on Water Company land, all under the trees, screened from the main road. Pulled down my bibs and let fly. Finished up, and got readjusted. Turned around, and saw that a guy in a Water Department pickup was patiently waiting for me to finish so he could open the gate and go do whatever Water Company people do behind those gates.
Since then, I've looked into other places to pee where it's actually encouraged, not just allowed. Hence, the Water Temple Jiffy Johns last week.

I actually come from a family of Osteopaths on my Mom's side - her father and both Grandfathers were Osteopaths, as is my niece. My understanding is that Osteopathy managed to get in under the wire to not be considered quackery, and of course now DOs go through a standard residence and are generally considered equivalent to MDs. But my Great Grandfather's business card, from the late 19th Century, extolling the wonders of Osteopathy, has a distinct 'snake oil' feeling to it....
Anywho, my Grandfather the Osteopath used to say Chiropractors were the guys who dropped out after the first 6 weeks of Osteopathy school.

Speaking of having to Pee. Had to do a drug test for work today, no big deal just pee in a cup. I drank a bottle of water before showing up, usually I am in an out, but of course today was different. 90 mins later I am still waiting to be called back and I am jumping from foot to foot in effort to not piss myself. I don’t like making a scene but it got to the point where the floor was going to get wet if they didn’t call me back. Funny my name was the next one called.
Went to trek and they were cool about the booties, unfortunately they didn’t have any in stock so they ordered me a new pair. Hopefully shows up tomorrow.

The Iggles were obviously pretty **** this year. I don't know where their challenges stemmed from, how much was circumstance, how much was personnel and how much was coaching, but still... he won them a Super Bowl three years ago. Damn.

Working in Pharma research, I can sympathize. Nobody cares what you produced 3 years ago. What do you have for us NOW?

^^^ Funny, but it'll probably be frowned upon outside of P&R.

I understand that that's the case in a lot of fields, but this is the NFL. Three years after a SB, when the team hadn't a championship, let alone a SB, in 50 years... yeah, that's harsh. Word on the street is that ol Doug didn't like people telling him what to do/second guessing him, so he was okay with being out. With so many HC vacancies, I wouldn't be surprised if he's coaching another team come spring.
