Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Owned.
It's a geek term - because the P is beside the O on the keyboard... it at first was a typo; but eventually became a general use term in the computer gaming realm.

I was owned by the pace of the ride... it should be okay for most people, but I'm really green and really slow... so... I need time to improve..

Cyclepath has some jerseys on discount. I got mine for $15 after all the discounts. Back pockets and everything.

Yeah the one on yonge, near eglinton/davisville. I got my gloves from MEC, although I have yet to find a pair that doesn't start smelling or that doesn't run (ink wise) when wet.

I've always gotten Pearl Izumis or Specialized and never had ink runs. As for the smell, either a few shots of Frebreeze or a toss into the wash (line dry) seems to help with that.

I usually either go to Duke's on Queen or go to Sporting Life on Yonge, just north of Eglinton. Additionally, I try to get stuff at the Spring and Fall Bike shows. I got my camelbak (TransAlp) for about 50% off at the Spring show and a pair of Pearl Izumi lobster claws for about $25 (usually around $60 elsewhere).

The fall show is going to be Oct 15 this year so mark your calendar now... I think some of the shops will have free passes as well.

Oh.. there's lots of stores in Toronto. Visit Toronto Bicycling Network's Dealer Network for a decent listing.
