2005 Selle Italia SLR Gelflow

Anyone here with any experience with this paticular saddle?

Yes. A bit hard, but the buns adjusted after 2 - 3 weeks.

Cut out is great for the plumbing and I really like the flat profile.

Got mine on sale from Nashbar.
[edit - Nashbar has it listed for both $90 or $120, not sure what the difference is, if any]

Overall a major improvement over the stock bontrager saddle my bike came with.

what about the specialized saddle that retails for $100. not sure the name of it.

Had the SLR for 600km. It was alright, but I found it to be a little too firm, even after the usual breaking in period for my butt.

Got an Arione instead and even though there's no cutout, I find the Arione much more comfortable. The saddle is much smoother, and combine this with it's length, it makes it much easier to change positions during a ride.

People have also had great success with the Specialized Avatar and Alias saddles, though the complaint is that they're a bit on the heavy side.
