Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

DV Recorders on bikes

Does anyone use a digital video recorder on their bike, and if so, what is the setup?

I want a DV recorder to basically put in a CamelBak and have a camera on my helmet.

I would use this for creating cycling videos and such. What would a trick setup be? Lighweight and able to produce good quality video.

Any help???

If anyone is interested in seeing a video of my friends and myself in Moab, here is the link... click on “A Day in a Life in Moab.” it's pretty cool.

Looking at doing the same for riding and snowmobiling, the Canon ZR-200 is a pretty decent unit. You can get a remote or helmet camera and plug into it, also it has a remote so you can start and stop unit and snap a still photo. Have seen them for about $300-350 not too bad, helmets cams on Ebay for $170 up to 350.
