Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Price of a bike and mileage -- Help out a student

Gents,
I need to take a poll about the price of bikes and how far someone rides in a week. This is for my statistics class so, if you could be kind enough to help me it would be great.

Please post the following way (Do not include price of bike, just mention if its >< $1000) and how many miles you ride in a week.

EXAMPLE:

Greater than $1000
I ride 150 miles a week

Thanks for all of you help...

Greater than a grand
200 miles/wk

good luck!!!

Post the mean, median, and SD (and if you throw a couple of more variables or groups in there we can do some really funky stuff like illustrating the differences between groups in each of these variables - okay, i have become a geek)

50 miles per week. You should go to www.bikejournal.com and get loads of stats (I think you need to register first, but I'm familiar with the people that run the site, so you won't get a bunch of spam).
