Kids say the darndest things
While watching Lance Armstrong ride fast up a hill, my seven year old son gave me the following training advice. He said, "Dad if you want to be as fast as Lance, lean forward more when you go uphill." I wish it would work.

ya know, i think you ought to listen to the kid. i find that, when i've got both my bikes' positions dialed in, i'm comfortable (and faster) climbing in a more forward position, instead of sitting straight up. just 'cause he's small doesn't mean he's wrong.....

My little girl is 2yrs old and she watches the race every morning with me. She does not pay much attention except when they get to the top of a climb or within the last 1k. Then she will come running over, stand infront of the tele and start shouting, " Oh my!! Oh my!!" and she will keep at it until the riders cross the line then she throws her hands in the air and yells ,"Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Racing!!"
She started doing this without any provocation from me and I have not done anything like that because the wife is still sleeping. Once the little one wakes up mom I will join in because if our little girl does it it is "cute" If I do it that early in the morning it is "annoying"
Gotta love the little ones
