Sore sit bones
After using a new saddle for about a month, I've developed some sore sit bones. No chafing, blisters, just sore bones. I've ridden about 170 miles, about 10 hours or so. I've tried it completely level, and also with the tip lowered a couple degrees. Is this an indication that the saddle will just not fit me, or could it be the result of adjusting the saddle's position on the bike? Could it be too narrow/wide for me? I really like the way the saddle looks & I thought it would work fine after the first 50 miles or so. Thanks for the help!

Maybe your saddle is too high?

Maybe the saddle is too low, after putting about 200 or so miles on my new saddle I changed the seat post and went for a ride (35 miles) and my sit bones hurt much more than normal, checked the saddle height when I got home and found it to be low about 1/8 inch. I read on Sheldon Brown's site if it is too low it can put more weight on your rear end by taking some off of the pedals. Now I know first hand that it makes sense.
