Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hard ride today. 3 of us did 80 miles with 7500 feet of climbing and headwind for the last hour+. Got home in time to hear the first set from the Mariachi band across the street. The bass is buzzing/rattling our house and giving us both a headache.

I'm trying something new - reverse searing a TriTip. We'll see how it turns out....

Good thing they offset each other.

I have a couple squares of dark chocolate per night, which seems to help out the craving.

None in that color and with the options this one has. There were maybe 6 of that model in the Metroplex. About half of those were a fair bit more expensive.

i shippped my last P-car to a guy in San Diego when I sold it. I flew to Houston to buy my last car and drove it back.

You go where you can get the car you want.

This will probably disappoint, but it’s a standard white with gloss finish. Interior is black/beige.

Take it to the dealer in FW. All dealers honor the warranty

1. No thanks.
2. He takes it back to the local dealer who gladly performs needed service.

Working at dealers I could sometimes nail a good deal on a trade-in. Got several cars that way including the 2 we have now and the last one I got for the ex. Sure beats searching the classifieds and driving all over to look at junk.
Also got a good discount on a new truck once.

Is there a way to reset this parameter without a scan tool?
You could try disconnecting the battery but the only way I know is with a scan tool. This can happen if there is something which causes a lean condition after a fueling event, say you left off the oil cap if you added oil. The engine computer sees the fuel added and the lean condition and assumes you added Ethanol, which runs leaner than gasoline. They did not have an alcohol sensor for years and relied on this algorithm.
This can also happen with a vacuum leak or aftermarket air intake. The 4.8 and 5.3 are well known for leaking at the intake gaskets. Could also be a skewed MAF sensor but the only way to diagnose that is by switching it with another one and watching the fuel trim. That is, unless your car has calculated airflow displayed in the data list.
I would reset the fuel composition on a lot of them and they wouldn't repeat the problem.

Exactly. I drove up to Santa Rosa to buy the Dodge, because the dealer there had the best price, AND the car I wanted in the color I wanted with the options I wanted. Though in retrospect, maybe the gray one with the manual and the sport handling package........

I'm not that tempted to look for new routes these days. I like knowing how much energy I can expend and still get home. And I know pretty much every road I'm likely to want to ride without easy reach of home. Comes from riding in the same area for 25 years.
