I find I really like the feel of sleeveless jerseys on hot rides. Is this generally not in fashion for men? I have both sleeved and sleeveless but find myself reaching for the sleeveless. I notice there are not nearly as many sleeveless as sleeved on the market or on group rides.

Well, if he's going to go sleeveless, why not add some gold necklaces and a half-bottle of dio del sesso sudatowhile he's at it?
If Mario Cipollini never wore a sleeveless jersey, why the hell would mere mortals decide to do so?

Is that like Sex Panther cologne? People wearing sleeveless jerseys are definitely slathered in "manly" colognes like that. You can bet they would never shave their legs either.

What about arm warmers with a sleeveless jersey for those chilly mornings that are going to give way to hot temperatures? Seems like a win-win.

The sunnier it is, the more justification for wearing sleeves.
Plus, guys look weird in sleeveless jerseys.

I think Clu Gulager (the detective) and Joe Biden have more than a passing resemblance.

"Wear what you want" results in:
- flapping club-fit Boomer joke/Michelob/Cookie Monster/"1997 RAGBRAI" jerseys
- non-bib shorts with garish graphics on the side panels worn until they are transparent with a hefty dose of (preferably hairy) lower back showing
- helmet mirrors
- generic bug eye Tifosi glasses from 2004
- no-show socks
From there it's but a short jump to the hard stuff:
- not firing up Strava on every ride
- growing a steel grey cop-style mustache
- allowing sticky Gatorade residue to build up on your bottom bracket
- swaying seat bags
- unraveling bar tape in a neon color that sorta-matches-but-not-quite the neon logos on your 2009 Felt with three inches of spacers and a drivetrain entirely black with dirt and grease
Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

A shark can swim faster than me, but I'm a lot quicker on the bike and I have aero wheels, so in a triathlon it all comes down to who's the better runner.

For me, when the heat goes up I want long sleeves. This goes for when I'm on the water fishing as well.
I'm not into sunscreens (even before all the cancer talk of recent). I never liked the feeling or smell.
So if it's hot, the sun is then usually pretty intense and I want to cover up on a long ride to prevent burns. Any of the long sleeve, loose fitting wicking shirts will do IMHO.
Plus once they are soaked with sweat they typically will keep you cooler. Lol.
No joke when I'm out on the water in my kayak I'm covered head to toe like a terrorist. Face covered. Sunglasses on. Frabill hat. Long sleeves, long kayak pants, neoprene dive boots.
Anyone who has ever had their shins or tops of their feet burned severely can relate I'm sure.

The question is whether or not the OP will feel sexy going sleeveless on the bike.
