How to use this bike rack so that bike doesn't hit car?
Hello,
I have this bike rack https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (Allen Deluxe 3-Bike Hitch Mount Rack) . However, everytime I put my bike on the rack and drive in my car the bottom of the bike swings and hits my car in stop and go traffic. How can I fix that?

Really shouldn't be able to but if its a real concern get a toe clip strap and strap the crank arm to the main upright beam of the rack, crank arm should easily reach the beam with the inside arm pointing forward.

I use bungee cords: one from the "outside" of the front wheel, hooked to a spoke, through the main triangle, around the rack's vertical post and then hooked onto a rear wheel spoke from the "inside". Another from the same front spoke directly to the same back spoke (so the entire bungee cord is on the "outside"). The first one keeps the bike snug against the hitch rack while the 2nd one prevents the front wheel from turning to point to the rear (you wouldn't think it would be needed, but my experience has shown otherwise).
If you add more bikes, use more bungees to secure the bikes to each other. It keeps them from banging together and causing nicks/dings/scratches, and also keeps the wheels from spinning in the car's wake.
