What's the feeling on mounting the GP5000 TL tyres? I seem to recall reading they are very difficult to mount. True? False? Dependent on the who is doing the install?

I've just picked up a new bike with GP5000S TR and they mounted pretty easily on DT Swiss ERC 1400 rims with thumb pressure only - no levers needed. Also inflated effortlessly with a standard track pump, which is a first for me with road tubeless. Others have needed a blast from the boost chamber to get them seated.

According to Trek's website I can run up to 28mm on my 2021 Madone...(although tbh there seems to be enough clearance everywhere around my 25's that I'm sure I could use 30-32?)
Anyway, thinking of make the move to tubeless and the readily available 28mm product is Goodyear Eagle F1... any good?

Standard Bontrager Aeolus 3V Carbon wheels. Seated easily with a regular pump.

The key thing to do is to use the rim shape to your advantage. Make sure the bead is in the center channel. It will make life much easier!

My favorite tires are the Pro 4's. The GP5000's wear a little fast for me. Vittoria Corsa G 2.0+ are very good tubeless tires that ride soft and seem to have good wear. But you HAVE to be alert. They wear from the inside out so they never wear that hard longitudinal lines outer surface. Michelin Power Endurance Tubeless are also very good but they don't have the performance of the Pro 4's. Hopefully in the near future they will make tubeless Pro 4's

I rode Schwalbe Pro One Evo TLEs last year- great rubber and no complaints at all.
Just mounted P Zero TLR SLs- they grip like hell and roll fast, even in the cold. Doubt they'll last long but those were the only 28s I could find at the time!
GP5000 TRs are out of stock everywhere unless you're a YouTuber!

vespasianus and Rdmonster69 thank you the feedback. I have some Michelin Power Endurance Tubeless on the shelf downstairs and just stocked up on some Veloflex tyres, so it might be a while before I switch over to something new/different. But I am keeping my eyes open for new tyres to try.
Ride215 I have found the Pirelli tyres to be quite sticky. I have not had a lot of luck with longevity though. Will be interested to hear how you make out.
