Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

wilier sl0 vs bmc teammachine slr 01

Hello,

I am kinda in the middle here. I currently choosing between wilier 0 sl and bmc teammachine slr 01 five. Price is6.5k € for BMC and 5.5k € for wilier and i am using my own carbon wheels but bmc comes with ones too. On BMC i get their top tier frame what might be plus. Anyone had experience with any of those bikes ? Down are the link for specs of the bikes

I've just been reading Phil Gaimon's book "Draft Animals" which is a really humourous look at the pro peloton. One of the things he says (which I think is so true) is that ALL modern high-end road bikes are great. He said that as a pro people would often ask him which was the best bike brand to choose. He would just shrug as all the major brands have great bikes. So it really comes down to the more subjective things like graphics, brand image etc. Obviously make sure you get a good fit too. Maybe the stock sizing of one of these bikes might fit you a little better?
