500 Pound Stem 🤯

That's £500, not 500 lbs. And very ugly.

Pass

note the weight is about the same as a Ritchey alloy stem

I don't think it's ugly but, at 150g, it's hardly lightweight.

Polaris OBark 05-29-22 07:32 PM

I would not trust that thing not to break in two.

Does it whistle when you get up to speed?

It would probably break into six or eight.

It's being offered in lengths
tip the scales at 150 grams (5.3 oz)
and internal cable routing compatibility.
I'll take my 79 gram Extralite stem & pocket the €350 in savings any day.

Internal routing? :roflmao2:

Good luck Mr. 3d printer guy.

This has to be the least aero stem ever made.

PeteHski 05-30-22 04:05 PM

Looks like a really pointless concept.

Troul 05-30-22 06:37 PM

looks like it could support hanging some truck nuts off from it.

mstateglfr 05-31-22 07:17 AM

That needs the silca gps mount added to it to really complete the wastefullness and pointlessness of it all.

I wonder how much a 3-D printed bicycle frame with the same technology would cost. If a little itty bitty stem costs this much, I bet a full frame would easily cost $10K or more.
