Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Hemingway quote in the description of this forum could not have been said any better. It's beautiful.

I plan on getting to know more of Canada by way of cycling; so much ground to cover. I am grateful to have the mobility and the means to make this happen.

I'm visiting my folks in Cape Breton in late September (Cabot Trail here I come!) and am saving up to visit B.C. for a few weeks next Summer. I would love to do some bikepacking through that province. The Yukon would be spectacular, too.

Anyway, that is all.
