Riding bicycles is not as serious as all of you make it out to be. Quite the opposite in fact. If you can't even ride with the group why are you going with them?

So you solo chased a fast group on Cañada, Portola, then downhill on Alpine, and you almost caught them?
Sure you did, Walter Mitty.
An old ride buddy, now retired and moved away, used to train by intentionally riding 50 meters behind the Noon Ride. He was very fast. Give it a try, Walter.

Kings mountain and 84, they were resurfacing the roads and left a 2 inch lip temporarily that got a bunch of us. Kinda embarrassed that I crashed I think I was too loose on the handlebars, cost of doing business. Moved a sign in the middle of the street to where the bump is with the blessing of two workers so hopefully nobody else crashes. Honestly not really sure how I crashed but it was a pretty gnarly bump, was in the red chasing which didn't help

Sorry about the wreck, looks like some nasty roadrash. You okay otherwise? Nothing broken?
I assume they were doing Kings Mountain? I wondered what the detour signs were all about, when I was riding through Woodside. They did Manzanita on Tuesday/Wednesday and I think Miramontes yesterday.

Update: Yes, it was Tripp Rd-84 intersection. I rode there today (7 Aug, 2022), and there is no longer a bump hazard.

[QUOTE=terrymorse;22600255]Did you mean Tripp Rd. and 84? That’s the intersection that was reported on a local mailing list. Lots of punctures reported.[yeah /QUOTE]
yeah IDK a facebook post said it was tripp and 84 but as far as I know tripp doesn't intersect 84. It probably does and im just being silly. I think it was kings mountain but maybe it was tripp.

Flip your stem.
After you do this you'll need to install a mirror to make sure they aren't too far behind.

Spenco Second Skin for the large open rash...
Cover with Tegaderm.
not sticking to every thing you lay on or wear...
Don;t forget to clean with Betadine...
do it right the 1st time and you'll heal in 1/2 the time, with less of the pain...
take it from me, I've left more skin on the road than what cover your entire bulky frame...
crashing is the very sucky part of road riding... heal quickly...
Ride On
Yuri
EDIT - wear a shirt, keeping the sun off helps shorten the healing time. even when it's covered with bandages

I gained time on the group chasing them on canada and going down alpine but it wasn't enough to close the gap and catch the draft. On canada I was on the side of the road smoking weed and had to put my stuff away and on alpine they were up the road and I chased a long time, I thought I was going to catch them for a bit there

Dude has some sweet golden locks! Not Thor like. More like the hair George Custer is shown as having. Take care and don't mess around with those wounds.

I may have stumbled upon your problem. Well, one of your problems, anyway.
PS: Anyone know how to get that nipple shot erased from my memory?

Ouch is right.
Hope you heal up fast with no issues.
When I raced I shaved my legs, for reasons explained by your pictures.
Lighter wheels might help with getting dropped, but heavier ones give a better workout.
