You leave a broken spoke from your old wheel there, and in the morning there's a nice, new wheelset. How the Wheel Fairy manages that without waking you is a mystery, but you do wake up with a stiff neck from having the freehub jabbing into it for a couple hours.

Domestic tranquility is much more important than anything bicycle related.
Are you thinking of a rear wheel only? I'm surprised that the DT wheels would be under 400. I have Rolf Echelon on my Ritchey solo breakaway.

I recall that when I joined my local bike club way back around 2005, it seemed that EVERYONE was riding these wheels. They have become a bit less popular in the past few years....hence the Wheel Fairy's wheel of choice to give away. Possibly.

Difficult to tour on a tandem by myself. Plus, the stoker should be your best friend. And our deal was that she would create beauty around our lives and take care of kids, which she did very well.
Besides, she is the good sense that I sometimes lack. So not having her around might be very expensive. Wheels can wait.

I try to not pi$$ on my friends, and she is the best friend I have. Dating started with back country skiing and climbing, once said she prefers a stick shift because you can scrub off speed in corners better, but agreed that if I wanted a Jag with flappy paddle shifters, we could get a Jag.
Also, happy to not have a long arm quilting machine since paying someone to do it is cost effective.
