My most recent package cleared customs on November 18, in DHL's possession, and disappeared. DHL has no record of ever having had it. Delivery times, here, have reached three weeks, even in the slow season. Prices at Amazon.com.mx are significantly higher than the same item at Amazon.com, even paying extra shipping from the USA. Things cross the border and are loaded onto the backs of mules, or possibly humans, walking.
The most recent package? A soft cover book.
It appears that not only Amazon, but all the online companies, have made no contingency plans to actually deliver those items they were so happy to sell. My wife ordered a tv from Costco and was given a 10-15 day delivery window. 15 days came and went, and they now have no idea. Likely months. Mexicans spend their lives waiting patiently in line. Nothing new to see here.

Why do you think all the Mexicans want to move to the US?

Amazon is going the way of FecEx. Hopefully someone will step into the mix.

I wore the Gore Wear jersey today. The backward zipper and the slightly small size notwithstanding, that is one comfortable jersey! A different brand of shorts too, and I cut 3 my nutes off my best time, over 22 miles. Can kit alone do that?

Ritchey is officially brought to this decade, and it’s no longer “happy to see people”.
On the downside, the wheel I was going to borrow is only 10 spd. Another lady at the shop is going to let me borrow a mavic askium but I won’t get it til friday.
It actually shifts really well with the 9 spd cassette, Tempted to ride it like that until I get the wheel.
Rj, tell me why that’s a bad idea.

It was what I was promised if I voted for a particular Presidential candidate in 2016. So I did, but there are NOT taco trucks on every corner! Campaign promises, man.

I gotta tell you that I've always been a fan of the cash economy. Most of that was Spanish speaking, including both legal and not so legal residents, but those guys worked hard. They appreciated the work, and I've never experienced anyone steal or abusing their privilege of being here. The immigrant crackdown has sure driven up costs in a lot of areas. Good taco makers are getting harder to find unless you know where to look.

Nope, there are not food trucks on every corner. The city regulates where they can park and do business.

Found out I'm getting a pretty nice Christmas bonus this year. Biggest I've had in long time. I have instructed the person who cuts the checks to just make it out to the University my daughter attends

Immigrants of all sorts tend to be outstanding additions to the country.
