Some 2006 Specialized's online now...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Some 2006 Specialized's online now...

http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkS...aunchBikes&a=b

A few new Allez and S-Works models and lots of mountain bikes and such. Looks like the Allez Elite Double gets a lower end crankset, stays at 9-speed 105, ultegra rear der. becomes 105, and the price goes up $100 to $1200. I'm glad I just got my 05! I was wondering if they'd upgrade the Elite to the Comp/Aerotec frame but the didn't. :-)

The new black paint job is pretty slick though. I like the graphics on the 05 red vs the 06 red too so I'm happy all around...

Cool stuff. Does anyone hear anything on when the '06 Roubaix will be released?

I'm in love with the Tricross... I rode one today and thought it'd make a fantastic commuter. Too bad it's $1500!

The Langster's pretty sleek - for a casual commuter, but I don't think it was built for that function.
48/16 in commuting? Hahahaha... There's no way I'm commuting in that gear; not yet anyways.

I've noticed that there's no Roubaix on the page with the 2006 bikes.
They're not discontinuing the Roubaix, are they ?

I would think they would be fools if they did...the Specialized dealer here has a hard time keeping them in stock.

I think these are just the "early release" bikes. There are significant holes in the s-works and allez lines too. Probably more will show up on the site within a month or so, including the missing model lines.
