many periods during the year we/kids would not get home until 8:30 or so - then shower - then eat - and then often homework (that was not finished earlier in the day)
bus arrived early the next morning (before 7 am) - so often bypassed the bus and drove them to school

Some are worse than others. Never played with LiMnO2 but the curves I found on line make me think it will be problematic when used the way the ETAP works. Doubt that anything else is better. And I can't think of anything that has a higher energy density that is commonly available.
Let's just say I have spent a few hours geeking out about that particular issue.

Bought this chain lube yesterday at trek. Put it on the emonda, and I really like it. Quietest the chain has ever been.
My buddy, the manager, did stress that the chain needed to be super clean before you use it, and it is stressed on the bottle.
But ain’t nobody got time for that!!!!!!!!!
It is supposed to get really wet here the rest of the week so I figured I would wait before I do a deep cleaning of the chain, cassette, chain rings.

Determining battery life remaining can be difficult. I mean for the product engineering team. The discharge vs voltage is not linear for the battery chemistries I have worked with.

I didn’t understand have of what you just said. I bought a pack of 2032 at the pharmacy. I don’t know anything else about them.
I still have not changed the batteries. Still pretty sour over the issue.

The heat is one of the biggest reasons I left Florida though. Now that our Christmas trip was cancelled for us by the fine folks at JetBlue, we’re looking at heading down in June after my my tri. I shudder at the thought of the heat and humidity then.

That's why I don't do that. I spray the whole drivetrain with Simple Green (undiluted), run the chain between a pair of toothbrushes - top and bottom, and then the sides - then rinse with a lot of water. In the summer it dries in an hour outside in the sun, but in the winter I often turn on the oil-filled radiator and a fan in the garage, and leave it for 3-4 hours.

Snowed this AM but then the sun came out and now it's just super wet so I'm getting out the three wheel assault vehicle because it has fenders... and it has Di2.
