Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That’s the badge you get if you fly for Spirit Airlines, the worst in the world.

I try to stick with Alaska when possible, then Delta.

The last 747 did some GPS art en route to Cincinnati today.

Even if. There are other options for ordering. MercadoLibre has their own internal delivery system. While Amazon purchases take 4-5 weeks, MercadoLibre takes a few days. Their product prices are higher, but their delivery really shines. I now only order from Amazon.com, because it is likely it will get lost enroute, Amazon will refund the purchase price, and it will then show up weeks or months later. Amazon.com.mx is a no go. Lately I've been trying to buy more stuff locally too. It is frequently cheaper than Amazon, but more difficult to find.

A friend from the club just got a new Factor and brought it out Saturday for the first time. I was on a different route so I didn't get a chance to talk to him about it. He's in the white jacket.

Thing is, it's been the coldest, wettest "winter" we've had in many years. For me, it's been great. I don't mind starting in the 40s and if it's raining I can skip it and ride another day since I have no pesky job to interfere with my riding.

I've been stationed at Fort Drum as both a soldier and a civilian, I rode a bunch in the area while as a soldier but as a civilian I chose to go to the Adirondacks.

I take that back, the watertown mall did have this awesome wood store. Everything you could think of made out of wood. Usually, home furnishings don’t do much for me, but some of the stuff in there I was very interested in. Problem, wouldn’t fit in my suitcase and the ERJ-145 is not know for its size.

Whyfi could get a job there! The climate is essentially the same as Minnie. Cold and colder.
