Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

The Spring is about six weeks from the beginning of February, whether some big rat sees its shadow or not.

We're having proper spring weather this weekend

Actual weather here in spring is typically like opening up your oven door

You could pay $2500 to do the 14 mile option. Seems kinda high.

I really want to go for a ride tomorrow. I have the choice of riding outdoors, with temps of 20-24 and winds 15-20MPH versus fake miles indoors.

I am quite torn, as both options suck.

We had unpredicted freezing rain this morning. So I was stuck on the trainer this morning. Decided to do a mock road race, (C pace partner). Im assuming this will be about the pace for the road race, I am sure some people will be faster, but majority of the group will be about this speed. It went well.

Kudos.

I am tentatively thinking of bundling up tomorrow and riding outside, but it's possible I won't have enough HTFU to succeed.

HTFU and ride the trainer. There's no ice to slip on there, either for you or for cars trying not to hit you. Or not trying not to hit you, for that matter.
