Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

initially planned to go with an Amp fork on my Litespeed Obed FS - but then switched gears and went with a Judy SL

For a 150 lb person, 2 cups of coffee taken an hour before exercise produces optimum results.

So 6 cups should mean even better performance. Right?

I can't help with the ugliness.

One of the chicks on our Race team has a gravel bike with this fork. I don’t get muddy, so I don’t understand the attraction.

Nice! I wasn't even familiar with those. Love the BMWs with the Earles Forks.

As I reported last week on 2/2 that I fell on ice while walking my bike. No problem;em to me or my Colnago. That was Thursday and I ride Fri, Sat, Sun with no problems. Yesterday, Monday, I started aching on the left side of my chest like a bruised rib or something. By 7 PM, I could hardly move with out a stabbing pain and still can't.

Talk about a delay, no pain whatsoever and now can't move, cough, etc. Anyone ever experience something like this. No pain for four days and then,Bam!

Not that clear cut.

There have been times I went "running" and two or even several days later my knee started hurting a bit. It seems the running must have triggered it, but the lag time is curious.

Hope that’s all it is. No discoloration or swelling but seriously, I can’t hardly move. It’s on my left side and I had a lot of serious damage on that side over the years so I’m always a little cautious when stuff hurts there.

I just got some junk email from my local Trek store. They advertise they have "Fully Custom" Trek bikes available.

To my mind, a "Fully Custom" bike means custom geometry, which I am confident they do NOT offer. Should I call them and harass them for false advertising?

Why call and harass them? Start a class action suit and make bank off them for very little of your time.

I actually would not mind a custom geometry Crabon Fiber bike someday, but I don't have 10+ large lying around.

You could get there with a class action lawsuit. The lead plaintiff gets the pot of gold while all the class members get coupons.

Pfft. Why settle for just custom geometry of OTS crabon? You should be insisting on a one-of-one CF cloth design and resin chemistry.

Win a class action lawsuit for Trek overpromising, and use the money to buy something better. I was just looking at the new Officina Battaglin Portofino R. Custom built to your measurements. Only 8000!

Mind you, that's just the frame.

What, do you mean often - frequently? Or orphan - a child who has lost his parents?
