Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

I see this one but i miss a lot of them. I noticed that you posted the link on a separate line. I wonder if that makes a difference. Anyway, I see this one fine.

Damn, I wish that I would have know that 52 years ago when I was 20. Should I tell my wife that it's never going to work out.

Agreed. I was 34 for marriage 1, 39 for marriage 2. Current wife was 37 when we got hitched.

One thing I learned was to marry younger. That way, when you're old and ugly, they are still young and good looking.

Oh, I dunno. I find my concept of "good looking" has broadened as Mrs. GeneJockey and I have grown older.

EDIT: Fortunately, so has hers.

See? You took me too seriously by assuming I took you too seriously, and now your head is spattered all over.

Actually, people did tell us. Bonus; got a few free meals at nice restaurants, while they tried to talk us out of it.

Emonda is down for the count. Went to brake and nothing happened. Mad scientist will tear it apart, and also pull the bb. I got the new head set piece. Drop the stem 5mm and I think I will get the bontrager pro stem with 17 degrees of drop after all. Just trying to determine the length. I have 130 on it now, but the 5mm of spacers removed plus the angle of the new stem I think will be a significant increase in reach. So should I do 120 or 110 mm stem. Desicions.

Fun facts. Trek doesnít make a carbon stem in 17 degrees.

The pro and the elite are aluminum and both do.

The XXX carbon stem weighs 124, the pro stem comes in at 132.

The enve aero stem I love so much weighs a whopping 180 grams.

Probably. Iíve been keeping her in bikes and tires and parts for 40 years, not to mention doing her maintenance for her. Generally, her bikes are more expensive than mine and she gets high-end parts, too. I even bought her a Pinarello back in the 80s.
