Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

She gave me the look of death that only an italian woman can give you. I think it takes about 5 years off your life expectancy.

So I quickly come back and say, that was a warm up. What I was actually asking for, much much much better on the ole bank account, is to go to race practice tomorrow at 5. the team is getting together and having a mock race. andÖÖÖÖÖ.

At this point she starts laughing in a very scary manner like, and walks away.

Most importantly I am not dead.
Yet..

Two days ago, she texts me that she got our oldest a iPhone and will be giving it to her. I tell her Iíd like to discuss before she gives it, she tells me she was just letting me know as a courtesy and that if I want to contact my kid on it, I can pay for half.

I ask her yesterday when she can talk on Saturday- she says any time. I assume that means she is going to hold off on the phone. I assumed wrong.

Iím not even against the phone, what I am against is the continuous ignoring of our agreement when it suits her needs because she feels I canít take any action (or wonít). What I think is the best course of action would be to get a separate mobile account that is not attached to either my family plan or my exís where we both have full access. This way we can both monitor communications and calls and activity.

Now Iím paying $200 bucks for my attorney to send her a threatening letter. Iíve tried to get her to compromise and be a good co-parent and her behavior just isnít changing. At this point, Iím willing to spend tens of thousands on attorney fees if I have to if the end result is she gets ****ed over. Iím over this nonsense.

The ******** part is that she can selectively ignore parts of the settlement, but if Iím a day late on support, itís the end of the world.

Part of me wants to know hold back support until she complies, but since Iím a dad and not a mom and the courts are inherently biased against me, Iíll get screwed.

Ex wives can be frustrating for sure. Mine allowed my daughter to travel to France shortly after 9/11 without consulting me. I just about lost my mind when I found out.
You are correct. The courts are biased against you. You can throw thousands at this, in the end the courts will be the only one that wins. I on the other hand suggest letting her have it. And calling her frequently.

The only thing I can advise him with is divorce because it'll be the cheapest in the long run and it's the only thing I know for certain will work 100% of the time. Never heard another word about it.
