Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How much of a sunscreen wearer are you? Is there an offseason, when you don't bother with it?

I try to slather any time I plan to be out there for more than a half hour.

No off season, just less exposed skin to slather on cooler days. For some winter bike rides it's just from below the eyes down to the shirt collar.

Lately I've been enjoying Quordle much more. This morning's Wordle was a blah puzzle, as many of them have been, and the nature of Quordle makes it much more strategic. Had to do my approach today to figure out which of many similar words it was...

I probably haven't used any since October or late September.

There were a couple times I had enough exposure, and there was enough sun, that I probably should have used it.

It's Rainbow Tie Dye in the ICON series.

They have some reminiscent of the early 90s "smoked" look also, like this Mulberry Tie Dye

Not sure how I feel about the color way. The rainbow one that is. It looks cool at first but I think I would get sick of it.

New head set is on the emonda, i’m asking them to throw the new bontrager pro stem 17 degree drop on it. I want to see how I like it. Classic making changes right before the race. Won’t be able to pick the bike up til Thursday, Friday it rains so most likely won’t get to ride it, race is Saturday.

Lucky I am not trying to win, but still.
