Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

Well I know I wouldn't ride that thing. You've tried working it back and forth and making sure it clicked all the way in, yes?

I'd try to wiggle it, just a little bit.

After wiggling, ride it around the block under moderate power.

Yes, It clicked all the way in. It was pretty tough to close. I canít seem to catch a break with these chains. Either too hard to close or too easy to close.

Iíll take too hard over too easy.

Lester, buddy at the LBS called me to work through that. It looks better, but itís still Kinked.

Sigh, serves me right to **** with stuff right before a race.

The new head set spacer. Doesnít look like it seats right. SMH, Im not sure what FSA would only offer one head set cover for this designs.

It doesnít have any play, but I am not happy about the appearance. I guess I will have to get something from slam that stem.

I didn't want to say it, but I wouldn't put a new chain on (or cassette, or...) less than a week before a race.

Took the madone out this morning. Drive train sounded ******. I knew the chain was coming up on replacement. Didnít feel like cleaning the old chain jsut to replace it in a week.

Wear shorts more than an inch long? Especially if you'll be covering the skin anyway?

I have no idea what this means, and I'm OK with that.

It means the minivan will be legal to drive for two years after March 14th, without doing any more work on it. Wooohooo.

Guess I'll get back to shopping for a convertible... top pics on the FBMP:

1 been to a couple BITD when they sucked.
2 Jacksonville state is in Alabama and is known to have great band program for what that's worth. Jacksonville is in FLA. I like it. it is not as weird as miss and miss state in the SEC.

Oooh, there is this, coming in at $450 cheaper than the Jeeper.

Automatic unfortunately but realistically I'd probably be perfectly happy driving an auto Miata

I almost bought a CJ5 once. Fun to drive but sucked on the highway. I decided if I ever got a Jeep it would have a 5 speed and a/c. Then I got a Grand Wagoneer, whoops.
I had a couple convertibles and I never lowered the top on a hot day. Best time is a warm night.

I think those Capris had a turbo Mazda engine in them. A friend had a Mazda 323 bodied thing with that engine and AWD. Cool car.
