Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

Yea, I just call it a 56. It really doesnít matter though, if you compare modern trek sizing to other brands a 58 madone is almost the same as a 56 cervelo C3.

As per race crashing, don’t make me list my broke bones and frames from crashing in races.

I have one pair of cowboy boots I haven't worn since 2012-ish.

I have a pair of these on the way to replace my kinda tore-up Wolverines...

I just took off my 28s on my …monda and put on 25c Conti 5000s with latex tubes. Go bigger, they say. Screw that. Going back to 25s for awhile.

Last Tuesday night group ride I went on, folks were just amazed that I choose to run around on 25s. I have a wheelset with Challenge Strada 30s setup tubeless but I just like a nice 25 better on all but the absolute worst of roads.

how do you know if chain rings are bad?

Picture prolly does not do it justice, but there is a gap between the chain and the chain ring.

The chain is in the way. However, it looks like the smallest/inner ring doesn't get used much. The teeth on the other rings should look like that. If they are getting pointy (aka, shark finned), then it's time for new rings.

Slip/skip a tooth under load, especially from a standing start. That has been my experience. Tough to tell by looking.

So I believe it is ultegra 6500. other than ebay I have not been able to find replacement. Are you aware of other brands that are compatible?
