Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This has been my experience, as well. These days, it happens often. Including yesterday on a very demanding gravel bike group ride.

Stop thinking. It does nobody any good.

I have over 50# on her and hills that she doesn't even notice has me shifting down a couple gears. She gains a hundred feet on me without trying. I spend the whole ride playing catch up and then she expects me to take my turn pulling.
