Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

I'll get disc brakes (breaks) for my bike when they pry my cold dead hands from my rim brakes (breaks).

Good thing I got my bike when I did. Now it should last until I take the dirt nap. Unless I'm cremated but that's a story from another day. Yesterday. Reminds me of this:

Not true, apparently - https://www.texascyclesport.com/shim...-di2-groupset/

same story for DA and Ultegra. donít know about 105. a lot of articles said the rim brake versions would be very hard to come by other than for pro teams but who knows.

One of my biggest cycling regrets is not buying a GT Edge titanium frameset when I had the chance. No decals, but they only wanted $500.

Another one is selling my GT GTR Type CX. Hurts even more thinking about how I basically gave it away I've never seen another one in this color.

Yes I know, its clamped on the top tube. And ergo bars are dumb. But it was so cool!

I was getting weird ass noises like you describe. Turned out the through axle wasnít quite tight enough after a flat repair. Tightened and noises disappeared. Good luck

Iíll check that, the shop had to install two new spokes and they put these sticker things on them. I didnít remove those, I am wondering if that could be it.

The fork was blessed by the bike shop as safe but it hasnít earned my trust yet.

There is a trek 5200 in postal colors. Of course they want an arm and a leg for an old ass bike.

So if/when I get that new bike mrs datlas authorized, I would likely seek out custom-geometry crabon fiber. Would look at Seven and Calfee. Anyone else to short-list??
