Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hell of a ball player. Crushes with a bat, too. She had the skills to play Div. 1 college ball, and had interest from college coaches, but decided to hang it up after her last summer of 18U travel ball. Being a college athlete wasn't the lifestyle she wanted, and that was the right choice for her. Some kids are wired for the dedication, determination, and regimentation that is necessary to be an athlete at that level. My kid isn't. I'm glad we figured that out before she went that direction and ended up miserable (I know some that did). I sure miss watching her play, however.

Dagnabbit, I was in the middle of moving the trailer hitch from minivan#1 to minivan #2 but got rained out. Maybe if I rearrange the garage for a couple of hours I can back the van into the garage to complete the install...

There are always a few road kill skunks on my country road routes. Can make for a very unpleasant mile or so until the stink dissipates.

Quite a few skunks around here that appear mostly on summer evenings. Not sure where they're hiding the rest of the year.

To the extent we have MUPs (not much to speak of), we certainly don't have lines on them. It's a free-for-all!
