Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Or both.

You prefer Catholic exorcism, voodoo curse removal, or gypsy curse breaker?

Or, you try sprinkling Curse Breaker on you and your bikes: https://www.meditationinsydney.com/p...curse-breaker/

I plan on bringing the emonda, 5200 and the madone. Madone is still in the shop but if I can get home tonight in time I hope I can pick it up.

Emonda for the 3/4 madone for the masters and the 5200 for the 4/5.

I havnt gotten to ride the 5200 since I put the new quick link on. The fact it went on so easy worries me a little bit. Also I havnt worked out the skipping the issue. It isn’t consistent, so I don’t think it will be a problem. Between the masters and the 4/5 I have some hours to kill, so I can test ride it and throw some hard efforts at it to see what it does.

Only immediate issue, Getting home today is not looking good. All the flights are full.
Sorry man- where are you? Austin?

Good morning! I have four free days in a row! I'm beside myself with anticipation! Today's forecast is for a high of 40*Proper with 55 kps southeasterly gusts. We've had strong winds steadily for the past week. I doubt I will do any riding today; perhaps tomorrow. I have been doing plenty of walking though. The oxalic acid bath was an astounding success, transforming a frame and fork with severe surface rust into a beautiful, almost new looking frame. Should I wax it or clearcoat it, before re-assembly?
In other bike news, I have a wheel build and a cassette change on the docket, for myself, and a stem/handlebar change for a friend coming in soon, from Maine.
Edit: Is it better to service the hub before, or after it is built into a wheel?

You might take some solace in the fact that they often over exaggerate the forecast in order to cover their ass.

We can say ass.

Im far enough north that they think we will be completely out of the mix and just be snow.

we had a storm in 19 that forecast 6 inches and it dropped 3 feet between 10pm and 6 am

It’s beautiful here right now. I’m not sure what happens if the district cancels activities- I don’t believe the building can be used- that’s how it works in our school district but may not up where we have to go.

KCB meets in a county school. We can't practice on days they close school. But we do meet throughout the summer. Never quite figured that one out.

Doesn't matter, IMO. The built wheel just takes up more bench space.

We'll have had 3 beautiful days in a row here. A little cold, but clear and sunny and dry. During the workweek, when I can't ride. Tomorrow, when the monthly C&V ride is scheduled, and Sunday when my weekly long ride is scheduled? Rain. It it holds, this will be the 4th month in a row the C&V ride gets canceled. I'm willing to ride in the rain, but I'm not willing to take my old steel bikes out in it. That's what CF is for.

BTW, since the Canyon is still coated in grit from last Sunday, I couldn't bring myself to use it on the trainer, so I put the Ritchey on instead. Even on the trainer, I love that bike. I have to figure out a way to ride more of my bikes more. I looked at last year's riding, and more than half of all outdoor miles were on the Litespeed.
