Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

I've seen a couple of those IRL. They look larger on the outside than they are, but are larger on the inside than most cars of their actual size.

Interested in looking at the Audi Q5 plug in hybrid for my wife when she is ready to part with her Macan.

Roll right into the garage!

Parking a car in a garage will take getting used to, when we move Back East. I keep seeing all these places with finished basements and I think, "Great! more space!", but then I realize it's probably a wash, since I won't have the garage as a spare room.

When we moved out of our previous townhouse condo and into a single-family house, I was very thankful to not have to park our cars in the garage any longer. I don't know where I'd put a car in here...

Im trying to get my wife to spring for an Audi Allroad but shes not having it. We are dropping 20k on HVAC this month so I guess it can wait. I should get 6K back on the HVAC system- so theres that I guess

Yep. I read an interview with him in the now defunct Bike magazine. He was still being paid to ride/race into his 60s. I think he may be the longest running paid cyclist ever. They said he still hasn't spent the bulk of what he made in the glory days of XC racing.

He was still winning races against pro fields, and not age group, either. Not UCI fields, but still. I heard he isn't with Cannondale anymore.

Something like 5200 pounds. 1000 horsepower unless you opt for the 3 motor deal. Then 1200 horses. Dayum.

Yep. This is California. The only cars that go in the garage are supposed to be the-nonrunning old car you're going to get around to eventually.

Definitely not for me. While I keep the bikes in the garage, I get there through the house, and the door is locked with sliding bolts, with the opener unplugged.

yikes

also could have been a bad (seized) wheel bearing

bearing seizes and then the assembly/race can begin to spin and saw through the axle / spindle

We replaced one in 2020 and another in 2021. Holding our breath and crossing our fingers on the third since it's the biggest.

Tinker took the KOM on the Californias longest climb segment, at the age of 60. Inspirational:

I was referring to the pan scraping and sending out the fireworks. The 2022 cars were bad with their porpoising.

The brake glow is really neat to see during night races.

Bone density scan

results are back. Low bone mass. Neck 1.4 T score and spine 1.6 which is probably what the insurance company will use to deny the surgery. It is about half way between normal and osteoporosis. It is the yellow/caution zone.

the results haven't been interpreted yet by my Dr. I'm just guessing about what this means, but i did stay at Holiday inn express last night.
