Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Gravel in the snow is a fat bike race. Maybe.

we vary from 0 minutes in a typical week up to maybe 2 hours if there's a weekend beach outing or something similar. i can't imagine it ever being more than 2 hours except for a road trip to LA.

the last time this was studied specifically in terms of time, the answer was that the average american spent 540 hours a year in their car, so 10 hours a week. interestingly that only averages 26mph (14,263 miles per year). i bet there's a few people here whose AVERAGE bike speed is approaching that!

It was no big deal, I had a replacement already.

Yes, yes it is. I only mentioned it to emphasize how heavy and wet the snow was.

Stuff was heavy. Just had to take my time -- no snowblower. The only upside was that the snow was soft; wasn't frozen -- which is what we usually get around here.
That said, my back says I'm getting too old for these winters.

The Ariens got bogged down a couple of times. The snow was too wet and was compacting inside the auger.

We got to the audition in time. She scored a 27/28, missed one note on one of her scales. The adjudicator wrote some very nice notes to her about her ability.

Wife and I did some snowshoeing at Saratoga State Park in the afternoon, was fresh snow and a decent amount of work.

Our snowblower is as sad as the Tucson snowman. Zero use this season so far.

New stem is sweet. I was worried it was going to be super aggressive and uncomfortable.

Only took me about 2 mins to get used to it. Didn’t mind my nose dragging my front wheel at all. Might get one for the emonda.

I used mine once and I could have used a shovel just as easily.
