Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

Same. Although I wouldn't mind another visit or two to Key West.

Seems like a bad idea.

In other news I found a trek 5000 in Pristine Condition. I mean the thing does not have a scratch on it. Current set up its heavy as hell, not sure if itís the wheels, bars, pedals, saddle bag or all the above. Size 56 so should work. it has a goose neck configuration on it but I am pretty sure I can change that. Shifters look brand new, but it was dark and I couldnít figure out what they were. RD was 9 spd 105 FD was 2x 105. Shifters almost looked ultegra R8000 but that canít be possible?

Anyways, a good friend of mine has it. He doesnít cycle and doesnít plan to cycle. His dad is a huge cyclist and gave it to him. I told him if he ever wants to sell it to let me know.

Its red, so it has to be fast?

Its a 99.
Head tube looks like it would take a 1-1/8 fork but currently set up old school. At mellow johnies last week Lances 2000 5000 was set up the same way.
