Probably for the best. Me and safety wire do not get along. Change the oil in a cessna in 5 mins. Safety wiring the oil filter to the frame takes me days……..
Thats not good for business.

Everything got brown during the season of death due to no rain. It finally re-greened in November. Then the polar vortex before Christmas killed everything again.

I would think you'd want to start with a microdose, and work your way up to whatever might be the sweet spot.

Shift cables mounted. I bought a cable cutter and it worked one time. Pretty pissed. So now I am stuck.
I still don’t understand what’s going on with the cranks. Why is there so much space between the crank arms and bottom bracket? the front derailer doesn’t line up.
I measure the bottom bracket of the ritchey and they are almost the same size. couple mm different in width.

I know, thank you captain obvious! I believe that Frame is threaded, just by looking at it, and it's age. It should have external cups. But I don't know what the bottom bracket you have there, or what crankset that is.

Bottom bracket is correct. It would take a shimano octalink for ultegra 6800. The spindle doesn’t come out of the cups, So I can’t just change the spindle. The Spindle is too long, The Ritchey requires a longer spindle. I’m asking around today.
Oh something else that came up. I’ll try and get a picture of it.
So I picked up the microshift R9 braze on front derailer yesterday. Pretty straight forward on how to attach it. However, when I attached it, and I have the bolt tightened the derailer still moves around. It’s not secure to the braze on mount. I took a look at The Ritchey, and it’s identical (except for the R9 instead of shimano). Maybe I need an extra washer?
