A smaller diameter rotor means a little more room to wiggle things around before it bumps into the frame. For CX/gravel, a 140mm rotor is probably sufficient for stopping power, but it's kind of a personal preference thing.
The best solution here is to be aware of the issue, and exercise a little more care when removing/installing wheels.

6k, if you're lucky!

I am not clowning you but I think that frame probably is more damaged then you think. You have not only chipped the paint, primer, but gone through some of the carbon fibers. This can be repaired but I don't think it's nothing

Or maybe less damaged than you think? It's actually impossible to tell from the photo.

I use these cheap (1USD for the 45mm x 65mm) self-adhesive steel patches to protect my carbon fibre chain stays from cycle shoe scuffing and they work well.

How can you tell that multiple carbon fibers have been damaged from the photos?

SSA's question is valid. You made a pretty clear judgment based on the same pics we are all seeing. What - specifically - are you seeing that lead you to that conclusion? I'm not challenging your conclusion, or your recommendation to get further analysis done. I'm interested in possibly improving my knowledge if there's something you know that I'm not aware of.

Like others, I'm curious to understand how you're making a definitive statement that the damage goes deeper than paint and into the carbon fibers themselves. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, just wondering what evidence you see in the photo or descriptions. This is the opposite reaction of the two people at my bike shop who looked at it, but as mentioned they are doing a more thorough inspection and will advise me on if they think this needs to be sent to a carbon repair specialist.
It's also worth mentioning that I have an insurance policy on this bike, so if the frame is structurally damaged I would file a claim and either get it repaired or replaced at minimal cost. There's no incentive for anyone involved to minimize the damage here.

Does not look like any more than paint damage. Did it even get into the carbon fibers?

Just to recap - I noticed the scuff, photographed it, immediately stopped riding the bike and took it to my LBS for further evaluation and inspection. I also posted photos/description here for additional data points. I'm not sure how someone reads all that and then concludes that I don't think there's a potential that the frame is damaged, or that I'm somehow minimizing the potential problem. The title of this thread literally asks "did I ruin my carbon fiber frame?".

I don't know enough about this to make that determination on my own. The scuff has a rough texture in the middle, but visually it just looks like layers of paint have been scraped off. There seem to be three paint layers (clear coat on top, silver and black on bottom). The silver areas in the middle of the scuff don't seem any deeper than the rest or feel any different, so it's hard for me to know if that is silver paint that wasn't scraped off, or if it's gone through the black paint layer and into another layer of something (epoxy?) under the paint. I assume raw carbon would be black in color and not silver/light grey. I don't see anything that looks like raw carbon in this.
My shop works with a carbon repair specialist and said they would let me know if I needed to do anything after they got a chance to inspect it closer. The bike has been there since the 31st, and I haven't heard back from them yet, so I don't know if that means they just haven't looked at it yet, or if they decided it was fine and have proceeded with the other work that was needed, or if they've sought outside help from the carbon repair specialist and are awaiting next steps with them.
In the meantime all I have is the rampant speculation here and my own suspicions.
