Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have done that... not from a bus but I once found a wallet that a cyclist had left on the roof of her car and fell into the parking lot, and another time a driver's license on the sidewalk. Found the cyclist through FB and the license holder had his address and was on my walking route.

I had been going to make a joke about why Yellowstone fans would be called Swifties (based on Taylor Sheridan when Taylor was dropped alone), but forgot.

I fell asleep at 7:30 last evening. Slept until 2:45, and started my day. I'm really loving this schedule!

There is still time. Tropic Air takes off in 1.5 hours.

Then we have to deal with the nimwits on AA for 3 hours. 😋

Here's another one for the experts. Shortly after 2:45, I put my coffee on the electric hotplate. A minute or two.later it shut off. Long story short, we lost three circuits at that moment. At 8, I contacted the electrician and at 8:30 the three circuits were again live.

What does an automatic garage door cost in your part of the world? We're looking into automating our five meter wide steel gate, out at the road, and our first quote, from a local guy(which we would prefer) is US$600 just for the motor. That sounds a tad high. What say you?

What's not to love about getting up in the middle of the night?

I had a better ride than I've had in a long time, this morning. I bumped my average speed up to 21 kph, a place it hasn't been in a few years. I blame the daily yoga I began a couple months ago.

Garage door openers aren't meant to be out in the elements, so I imagine a gate opener would cost more. Is it a swing gate or a roller?

FYI, those fitness Strava graphs show neither power nor fitness. They show "training stress" accumulation over time. What's training stress? Essentially power times duration.

Yes. I understand that. And they make more sense in hindsight when looked at next to my training diary. I showed the power related graph but the power and relative effort graph is virtually the same. I only posted to show how illness affected things.
