Addiction 2023.2

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

My dad is that age and he still works six days some weeks. Not eight-hour days (he main job is driving school bus), but still. On Sundays he often goes out and does manual labour.

The pump we have is 100% efficient down to 5 below. Most of the houses in my development were originally built with electric baseboard heat that has since been replaced by big Rinnai wall units.

That units doesnít heat the house evenly, so we got a 4 zone system

Our last house had a heat pump. I added a wood stove and thereafter was occasionally able to remove my down booties.

Me too! Been taking off virtually every Friday, and it is enjoyable.

Today is the exception.

Nothing is 100% efficient. Not even my mind.

I hang out with young folks until they drop me on hills. If one of them is tired or having a bad day I like to remind them that I am old and fat and dropping them. That happens less frequently these days.
