Addiction 2023.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Got the replacement jersey today. It's the same size and color as the first one. I told the guy if he ordered blue it would come red. He said he could take care of it, He did not.

Anyhow, that's TWICE in one damn month in the ER after managing to avoid it for 30 years. I looked at my mileage for April, and I've done 309 miles, which means this would be the lowest mileage month since November of 2020.

Are you ordering from someone colorblind?

My boss is somewhat colorblind. Makes it all sorts of fun to show him data with multiple test articles - you can only do so much with shape of the markers and different dash patterns for the lines.

only known, good use for a sousaphone. Too big for a paper weight or door stop.

No, their catalog is screwed up. If you go to the color icons and click the blue one a picture of a blue jersey will appear with "Heirloom" printed next to it. If you click on the red icon a red jersey comes up that says "Torch Red". There is no way to order the blue jersey from that page, (Amazon). I went to the PI page and the red one is labeled "Heirloom" and the blue one is "Ocean Blue". There is no Torch Red jersey in that model.

I explained this to the chat person and he assured me he could get the right one in the right size.

Anyway I had a nice ride with a few friends but it didn't amount to a birthday ride. I turned 69 yesterday and wanted to do 69 miles with 6900 feet of climbing. Maybe next week. Mrs and I did get taken out for brunch yesterday. And I got a free jersey from Bezos.

When my brother lived in North Carolina, in Spring he and my SIL used to go out and harvest lots of Black Trumpets, but never a Black Sousaphone.
