Waiting at bottom of hill

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Doesn't matter the circumstances, a race is a race and if he did a century before it that sucks for him. He still put his head down and attacked the hill

Next time race your hill with someone on an e-bike.

I am a decent (as opposed to indecent) climber and had a kid on an e-bike blast by me on a 10% 1/10th of a mile climb. It was humbling, and a little infuriating since i was working my a$$ off.

How would you feel if this happened to you?
Your opponent undoubtedly felt crushed. You should have felt like you needed to seek counseling.

Most likely his “opponent” was the hill and not you.

WELL, if it was me I would be laughing my balls off if you didn't pass me since thanks to my Prostate Cancer and being almost 73yo I have no balls and very little muscle strength and NO *T*.

Ride on and have fun.

. Every time I see you post I think, “There’s old Tryguy——what’s left of him.” It is amazing you are still breathing, let alone riding.

I’d race you up that hill—- it would be worth it to see you laugh.

Does it matter how much hair one has on chest and back? There might be a penalty.

I prefer to wait at the top of the hill and race them down. Far less effort.

Once again: It is not a race if you are the only one who knows it.

So, here are a couple things that ARE races, and some that AREN'T races:

Race:
  1. a race.
  2. Riding in a competitive group ride and going for the town-line sprint
  3. Riding with a buddy and saying, "Let's race to the top of that hill", and he says, "Sure!"
Not A Race:
  1. Chasing down random strangers on the road.

As long as you don't stall out when the light changes, it's a win!

Assuming the goal is to get attention, would be easier to just ride up and pinch the random stranger. They'd likely acknowledge you then.

Riding off you wheel that stranger who jumped on, uninvited and unannounced. Best done on the next roller.

The hair might contribute to the "golf ball effect" making him even faster.

Wait. What’s wrong with this? You hop on my wheel without asking I am going to make you wish you hadn’t.

No, nothing wrong with riding a stranger off your wheel. It's just not a race, that's all.

How, turning the power up? Drafting makes it easy to stick with you. The only "punishing" things I could think of are dangerous, like brake checking them (something I have heard as a suggested way of dealing with wheelsuckers lol)
