Best Road Tire for Touring
I have been cycling for about 8 months now. I ride about 70 miles a week. I bought a Giant OCR 2 ...it has 25c Michelin Dynamic tires on it. I would like to switch out to 23c 's and have been researching tires. My LBS owners like Conti's and Vittoria's. I want a good dependable tire. I will pay xtra for a good product. I am looking for what has been dependable for you folks out there. Thanks.

I put a pair of the new Vredestein Perfect Max 28c's on my roommate's bike a few months ago, and they've been working out very nicely. They come in various widths (28/32/37/40) and are a bit lighter than some of the other touring tires out there, but still have good puncture protection and tread wear.
I bought them at rei.com, but other e-tailers are starting to carry them as well.

touring with what kind of load, what type of surface?
How much clearance do your brakes have?
Conti, Vittoria, Vredenstein, Panaracer, Schwalbe are all good brands.
