I say don't root around just buy it. Ask yourself "how will I feel if I miss out?"
I procrastinated over a frame for 3 months. The price didn't drop and I finally did it. I'm so glade I did because the replacement frames in the shop immediately went up in price even though they are the same model / year.
Steve.

I sent an email to Trek (with my serial number) requesting info about the frame. Then I'll know better what I have. I have a feeling I'll end up keeping it and jamming the seat as far forward as it'll go and getting a 130mm stem or something.
If you buy that Opera before the Lancaster ride, we'll all be in trouble!
Or not, as I just remembered you're building it up over time.

This would be what, your 3rd or 4th road bike in the last 2-3 years?
