websites to check route distance?
is there a website somewhere that i can use to check how long my route is?
say I go on this street, left on that street, etc., then give me the distance. don't want ot buy thos GSP gizmos yet. thanks. |
Just grab Streets & Trips 2005 or your preferred map program. I think there are some online sites that do this also if you snoop aroudn the forums.

way back when, we used to pull out a road map, look at the scale, and do some estimating and addition. It was usually good enough. ;)

People have been loving this recently. I include myself. [edit: ooh, beat to the punch.] |
Sweet link! I've already extended a couple of my regular routes using it. A topographic function would make it perfect.

Second the google maps... wonderful stuff and quite acurate.

yahoo maps hasn't let me down yet...
I can't get enough of google maps, what with the satellite images and all... |

If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area (or a small portion of Ohio), you may find the KLIMB app useful.

I second the nomination for the gPedometer.
If you'd rather have something three-dimensional, I'd recommend DeLorme's Topo USA 5.0. - Warren |
