websites to check route distance?
 
is there a website somewhere that i can use to check how long my route is?

say I go on this street, left on that street, etc., then give me the distance.

don't want ot buy thos GSP gizmos yet.

Just grab Streets & Trips 2005 or your preferred map program. I think there are some online sites that do this also if you snoop aroudn the forums.

way back when, we used to pull out a road map, look at the scale, and do some estimating and addition. It was usually good enough. ;)

If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area (or a small portion of Ohio), you may find the KLIMB app useful.

I second the nomination for the gPedometer.

If you'd rather have something three-dimensional, I'd recommend DeLorme's Topo USA 5.0.
