Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cycling computer problem

So i have been riding about 3 months now ad my computer is recently giving me problems. The last ride and then also one a few days before that when i was done with my ride my Trek Wireless computer said my top speed was 91MI the first time and 92MI the second time. Has anybody else has a problem like this? What could be causing it? Not that its really a serious thing but I would like to know why. Thanks.

Check the setting for the size of the Wheel. You may have it set wrong.

Does the wireless transmitter have a battery? You might need to replace it.

Wireless bike computers may suffer from interference, especially near the traffic light car sensors.

Yes thats it! Thanks! I did a ride with 2 other buddys and neither of them had a computer at all. And it read 91 mph. That was my first ride under a traffic light because I usualy ride in the country where theres just 4 way stops. Then I rode again under another traffic light a few rides later and I got 91 mph. And the only 2 times my computer has done that there has been a ride where theres traffic lights. Thanks for the help.
