Addiction 2023.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I did indeed do that glute stretch incorrectly. But correctly done still easier than last time.
Five pushups. Barely.

mid 70s here. solidly middle-late gen x.

as for BF in general, outside this thread, it’s giving boomer. as gen Y would say.

I act like an old person. I yell at kids on my lawn, I don’t like crowds, music today sucks. I can go on.

After a couple days in the 90s it's predicted to be back over 100 tomorrow. One of the clubs has a short ride of 40 miles which should be done by noon. Regular ride friends are driving 65 miles to Ventura for the 5th Saturday in a row. I could just go out solo again. As usual, I'll put off a decision until the last possible minute.

Time to go cruise the neighborhood to see what the legs have, or don't have.

That's horrible. 50 is when it all goes to hell. ...and you probably just lost some weight.

Wednesday was the last day of antibiotic, so last night I celebrated with a ride outside. With the C&V ride on Saturday, I figured it would be good to ride the bike I plan to ride then, so I took the Ironman. I'd swapped out the Rubinos it came with tor the Corsas I'd been running on then now-dismantled Schwinn Circuit. Ohmigosh, they feel so much better! Luckily, they didn't live up to their reputation for fragility and they didn't flat...

First half of the ride I was FLYING. The last 1/4, once again - into the wind. Overall faster than average for that route, not bad for a 65 year old guy on a 38 year old bike.
