Addiction 2023.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Im guessing most of them have no very clear idea of how tall men actually are and maybe height is a sort of unconscious surrogate for some other body dimension.

I do have to say that most of the really tall guys I know are surgeons, CEOs, or politicians.

There have been studies that show that men between 6' and 6'3" tend to be more successful in business and the professions than short men.

First off, WTF is Bumble and second, who cares?

After a Goggle search, I decided that VV must be using a dating site.

Google/Wikipedia tell me that Bumble is a feminist dating app where the woman gets to make all the first moves/first contact.

Mexico has a thing that foreigners can't own property within 50 km of a border. One option is a fideicomiso, where the bank holds the title.. One property per fideicomiso. The other option is to set up a corporation for the sole purpose of holding land. You can hold many properties under the same corporation. Each option costs about the same to administer ---around US$500/year. We currently have three properties. Even with only one property, having a corporation employs real people doing real work, rather than just throwing money at a bank.

My short, bald dad always said you could be short or you could be bald, but not both. So he wore a piece, and he wore his Masonic ring.

I had a great ride this morning. From 5ish to 7ish. Chilly at the start, sweating at the end.

A friend of mine is 6'7". Taught social studies as long as he could stand it and is now a postal carrier. I guess if you're over 6'3" it's basketball or bust

Now that I've lost a few pounds of blubber since I've been riding again, it is appropo. I also did 3 1/2 hours of yardwork over the weekend. Take that big vitamin D. Of course I'm still way too fat for this sport.
