Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Never thought I would say it, but gene was right. 56 felt cramped this morning and going to 100mm stem won’t do it. Taking it back for the 58 and a buddy of mine is giving me an 80 mm stem which should solve all of my problems.

Not enough height? A lot of gravel bikes have a longer reach which they pair with a shorter stem for some reason.

I didn't like it either, and that's saying something coming from an alcoholic. Friend's dad worked at the Schlitz brewery here and one time I was at his house and he gave me a case of quarts of Schlitz Malt Liquor, "The Bull." Of course I felt obligated to finish it off as quickly as possible. Felt like I had been drinking Drano.

Could it be that they are somewhat of a cross between mountain and road bikes?

There was a gray Rapide parked near us on Saturday. I called Mrs. GJ's attention to it, but she didn't seem interested.

One guy bought all 8 of these cars new in 2010. Weird. Auction estimates from 40 to 120K Euros. No reserve, but I suspect a reserve isn't needed.

Start working on Mrs Genejockey, you have until the 8th. Hope she likes orange.

This is why we never encouraged the Greyhounds to get on the bed. Not only are they notorious bed hogs, but also they're enormous, and boney! Like snuggling up to a bundle of sticks!

Our GSD is pretty lean, but softer than a Greyhound, for sure. Her presence on the bed at night is directly related to the room temperature. On warmer nights, she prefers the carpeted floor of our bedroom, or the tile in the hallway.

No dogs in our bed, ever. Our dog has a custom made bedroom.
