Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Unexpected day off, so I'm having an ice cold beer after brushing the pool. It was approx 2000 degrees out there, probably up to 2200 degrees by now, but still gonna ride up to the store for lunch and dinner fixins here in a minute.

It's a Britney Spears song, and if you say/sing it, it sounds like EF YOU SEE KAY me.

So four letters then the word me. Get it?

There was a song some time back called "If You See Kay", where the chorus was something like "If You See Kay, tell her I love her!"
And if you didn't pick up on it by the last verse, they sang "If You See Kay" really fast. They did manage to get played over the airwaves.

@datlas, like many here, I visit more than my share of docs and they always want a person to take a survey a day or two later. Do admins come to you and say, Doc, your numbers suck. You need to work on your bedside manner or your check in person is rude or whatever?

I'd love to see VV's responses.

Off to fill out a couple questionnaires.

Not for nuthin (as an old colleague liked to start off conversations) but this planet earth of ours, which we have no way of ever getting off, reached its highest global temperature EVER* this past Monday and Tuesday, July 3 & 4. I'm just sayin, not for nuthin, that is something noteworthy.

Better hotter than colder I say. Look what happened to the dinosaurs when it got colder.

The ones are wild ride

11.11 miles around home. Hilly in spots and a pretty hard ride. I'm beginning to think 130 is 90% of my guesstimate maximum heart rate of 144. Felt good.

Tomorrow should be interesting. If I'm still riding in November, the awesome Marigold jacket will make a triumphant appearance.

My annoyance-free day showed signs of promise until 1200, when I ran out of trimmer string and had to go buy more. Annoying.

Then, our 25% chance of rain afternoon turned into a prolonged light rain, that served no purpose other than to be annoying.

I tried, but it's not me that's the problem.

They've become so wearisome that I mostly ignore them now. And as you imply, do they even serve any purpose?
