Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I tested the Sirrus Sport, RW 600 and 800, and bought a Road Warrior 800.
I concluded the quality of the frame work is better on the Cannondale Road Warrior line (not fair to compare to RW 1000); while I liked the Sirrus paint color and brakes, and would have gone for it if most of my riding was to be commuting/street riding.

Geometry was probably my major deciding factor, as I likely would not have been able to spend a few hours on the Sirrus Sport. But that's my body. I suspect a longer ride would give you a good feel as to how your body fits the rather different frames. I came from a hybrid frame design, so I was open to Sirrus.

"Performance" probably depends on how you plan to use it.
